The pie charts given reveal some information with regard to the percentages of sales in New Zeland by online retail in 2003 and 2013.
As can be seen, there is a Stark contrast between two years one of the most noticeable features of the charts is that the figures of half of the items experienced a dramatic climb from 2003 to 2013, while half of them declined exponentially by about 27%. With regard to the 2003 chart, the numbers were 19% or above, of which the highest belonged to the travel, with not being quite twice as high as that of the lowest ( 37% for the former as opposed to 19% for the latter). Interestingly, the number for film/music was as high as that of clothes ( 27% for both).
Turning to 2013, the figures were ranged from 16% for clothes to 33% for film/music, with the highest was one-third of the numbers of books, travel and clothes put together. Importantly, the percentages of books and travel were 22%and 29%, respectively.
It is worth mentioning that, although the percentages of clothes and film/music were the same in 2003, the number of clothes plummeted down steeply from 22% to 16% while the figure of music/film witnessed a drastic surge from 22%to 33%.
