Sydney Opera House
The article states that the Sydney Opera House was a dramatic concept by Jorn Utzon and but possessed a lot of challenges in construction due to that. The report provides three points to support this. However, the professor disagrees with this and believes it to be a masterwork by the architects and refutes all the points presented in the article.
First, the article states that the Sydney Opera House was a part of an international competition in 1956 among various other international architectural firms and was selected by the committee. The professor disagrees on this and says that the architecture was unique in itself and does not fit in any international category.
Second, the passage states that the design was so revolutionary that the engineers at that time were not capable of understanding. It explains that the head Jorn Utzon himself has to spend several years in reworking the design of the roof. However, the professor explains that the model was an organic design and as natural as a "ship in a harbor".
Third, the article posits that even after a decade after being chosen in the international competition the opera house was not even near completion. However, the professor disagrees on this stating that a lot of engineers collaborated in the project making it possible. She also believes the Sydney Opera House to be a Creature of Computer Age.
