The bar chart illustrates the amount of electricity produced and used in 10 leading countries in the world in 2014.
Overall, it is clear that the electricity produced was far higher than the amount consumed in most countries surveyed. Additionally, China was the leader in manufacturing and consuming electrical power. Units are measured in billion kWh.
The second-ranked country after China was the America, which produced 4099 billion kWh electricity, nearly 1400 billion kWh fewer than China, and used 3856 billion kWh of electrical power while the amount of electricity consumption in China was significantly high, at 5322 billion kWh.
The three following countries were Russia, Japan, and India which the electrical power generated and used varied from nearly 700 billion kWh to 1057 billion kWh. Then, Canada, France, and Brazil produced and consumed generally just a small amount of electrical power. Germany was exceptional for its nearly 56 billion kWh of electricity production more than that of consumption. Finally, the figures for the Republic of Korea were merely below 500 billion kWh.
