In the first picture, it could be seen that the moth produce eggs. Within 10 days, the eggs grow become silkworm larva that eat mulberry leaves to fulfill its need of foods. This larva would produce silk thread which is surrounding its body in 4-6 weeks. The thread of silk around the larva’s body would be shaped full it is called cocoon in the following days.
The cocoon would be used as the material for producing silk cloth, like the second picture shows. The cocoon would be selected by its quality before it is boiled in the water to clean it. After that, the thread would be unwound and it would be stretched to show the original length of the thread, approximately 300-900 meters. Then it is twisted to make the thread stronger, before it is dyed in a liquid. It is also could be woven first before dying in the liquid.
In conclusion, it could be seen how the silk cloth is produced from the silkworm.
