The maps illustrate several significant changes that occurred in Stokeford village between 1930 and 2010.
Overall, it is noticeable that while the number of houses rose dramatically, the lands for agricultural purposes disappeared during the period of 80 years.
In 1930, there were a few houses on both sides of the main road which ran through the middle of the village of Stokeford. However, in the year of 2010, roads were expanded and more houses were built along these roads. Moreover, the 2 area of farmlands in the north-east and south-west of the village gave away to residential areas. By 2010, shops had demolished and only the Post office remained.
The local primary school was extended with 2 new buildings in the center of Stokeford in 2010. In addition to, in the south-east of the village, the large house was expanded to become a retirement home for old generation between 1930 and 2010. Gardens were narrowed in order to widen the road and construct more houses over the period.
