The table compares the market share of top notebook computer brands in the world in 2006, 2007 and 2014.
Overall, HP made up for the largest worldwide market share in the three years. While there was an increase in the proportion of products of HP, Dell, and Toshiba, a fluctuation was witnessed by the rest.
Being the notebook computer market leader in 2006, HP held approximately one-third of the market share and remained the top position with a slight improvement by around 3% in 2007 and 2014. A similar increase was also experienced by the percentage of computers produced by Dell and Toshiba to just above 26 and 8%, respectively, in 2014.
In contrast, only 4.8% share of laptop market was held by Fujitsu and this is the lowest proportion of computers manufactured in the market in the three years despite a recovery from 2.4% in 2007 to 3.1% in 2014. Similarly, the figures for Samsung and Lenovo experienced a gradual fluctuation to 14.2% and 7.1%, respectively in 2014. Besides, other brands accounted for 22%, which was the nearest competitor of Nokia in 2006, and 7.11% in 2014.
