TPO 35- Task 1
The reading passage explains three possible theories about the author of Voynich manuscript. However, in the lecture the professor respectively contradicts all the assertions by using three specific points as supports.
At first, the idea of Anatony Ascham was the author of this mysterious manuscript due to the analogues between scientific information of Voynich with those in Ascham's medicine book. While the lecturer points out the fact that people on the era of Anthony was too illiterate to understand the content of his book. So, he had no need to encode his book and he is highly unlikely to be the writer of the Voynich.
Secondly, the reading mentiones that Edward Kelley who pretend to have magic power for deceiving people made a fake book to get money from them. On the other hand, the professor repudiates this idea by saying that people on that time are too simple to need so much effort for cheating them.
Finally, although the reading passage claims that Wlfrid as a big dealer of antique material might created the fake manuscript to attract the attention of people who hd passion into ancient things, But the professor states that the survey on the age og ink of manuscript shows that he lived many years after the creation of this book and the ink is older than his time
