Overall, female students surpassed their male counterparts in most area of study, making an exception of Geography. Furthermore, the outcomes of Computing Science, Mathematics and Foreign Languages were the highest among seven subjects.
Turning to the detail, 56.3% of girls passed Computing Science exams, resulting in a disparity of 14.2%, compared to 42.1% of boys. Meanwhile, the competency in Mathematics and Foreign Languages were relatively equal between girls and boys, with a marginal difference, of merely 0.8% and 0.6% respectively. In comparison with Computing Science, despite a much lower result, Chemistry witnessed a similar gap between female and male competency, in which 16.1% more girls than boys achieved examination. The number of female students gaining achievement in Physics accounted for 25.6% of girls, while that of boys occupied 22.9%. An equivalent gap was observed in History, with 25.6% of women and 22.9% of men succeeding in the test.
Conversely, male students were better in Geography than female ones. Approximately a third of boys accomplished Geography exams, which was 10.3% higher than the recorded number of girls.
