The graph and table below give information about water use worldwide and water
The charts illustrate the alterations and differences in the number 3 sectors of global water use: Agriculture, industrial and domestic used over the period from 1990 to 2000; and water usage in Brazil and Congo in 2000.
It is clear that global water consumptions significantly increased between 1990 and 2000, and that agriculture accounted for the largest proportion of water used. The research also documented that water consumption in Brazil was considerably higher than in Congo.
In 1990, the water usage in agriculture worldwide stood at around 500 km, while the figures for industrial and domestic water consumption just about one-fifth of that amount. By 2000, global water use had rapidly and dramatically risen to 3000 km, the industrial water use had increased just about haft of that amount and domestic consumption had reached to the peak at 500 km.
In 2000, the population of Brazil was 176 million, takes 32 times as many as Congo’s water consumption. While the water consumption per person in Brazil was 359 km, takes 44 times as many as Congo’s. This might due to the fact that Congo had 265 times lesser irrigated land.
