The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and the plans for its development.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The mentioned maps highlight the differences between the current status of the Islip town centre and recommended designs for its further improvements.
Overall, the Islip town in future will be more development and convenience than the old one after the constructions of several facilities.
According to the map predicting the future improvement of the city, the most noticeable change will be the er construction of a dual carriageway surrounding the town with the oval shape. In addition, the Main road running from the West to the East will be transformed into the Pedestrian way. Besides, the shops lined along on the North side of the Main road will be replaced by amenities such as bus stop, parking lot and shopping centre.
As can be seen from the changes in the development of the future plan of Islip town, the rural area will be no longer present. There will be also a new housing area near to the car park which can be accessed by a minor road connecting this site with the dual carriageway. Furthermore, more accommodations will be constructed on the South side of the Pedestrian zone and the park will be narrowed to make way for this development.
