You saw an advert asking for volunteers to run a charity event:1. Explain why you are interested in helping2. give details suitable past experience3. suggest ways you might help with the event

Dear Sir,

My name is Kumar S Sampad and I am a resident of Danforth Area in Toronto. I am writing this letter in response to an advertisement published in The Daily Star regarding the requirements of volunteers in Charity works for the people on the street suffering due to heavy ice storms in the last couple of days. I am interested to help those victims and owing to this, I would like to give a short brief about my past records.

I have graduated in social science and involved in lots of non-governmental activities for the last 10 years having the same aim of helping people. In fact, these kinds of activities give me an immense mental pleasure in many ways. Besides, it helps me to see the people from a very closer step and develop a real bonding as human to mankind. Last year, I have served myself for the flood-affected people in the Ottawa Area. The submerged area was suffered from the basic supply of food and other staffs and I helped the Red Cross team to navigate properly in that area to faster the delivery process. I think, this time my experience will be good enough to serve the community as well from the humanitarian ground.

For this charity event, I can raise fund from the local people so that a bulk amount of winter clothing can be managed within a short time. Moreover, the used winter jackets and boots, as well as gloves, can be collected from the nearby regions and I can assist to distribute them with my personal vehicle in the Greater Toronto Area. I know, Red Cross and other social organizations are coming up with their wholehearted efforts, but I cannot wait to help the people in my ways too.

I look forward to hearing back to you as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully,

Kumar S Sampad.
