The table illustrates the expenditure of different nations on different items in year 2002.
From first glance, it was noticeable that the category of food, drink and tobacco had the highest percentage among these three categories. The percentage of Turkey had the biggest proportion, which was around 32%, whereas the lowest was Sweden. People from three countries who only consumed within 20% of this category were from Italy, Spain and Turkey.
As the table demonstrate, Italian had spent more on appearance, which was 9%, while people in Sweden had spent the least. However, citizens from Ireland, Spain and Turkey had almost the same percentage which was almost 7%. On the other hand, people from these five countries had less expenditure on leisure and education, which were all below 5%.
To sum up, it was evident that citizens rather spent more on food, drinks and tobacco than going for leisure activities and studies.
