The pie charts illustrate the percentage of world’s land area and population, respectively.
By observing the key features of both pie charts, it is obvious that Asia and Africa comprise both largest and most populated areas, while Antarctica and Oceania have got the least populated and smallest areas of the world.
More than half of the world’s area is consisted in Asia, however, no such thing can be said about this vast continent’s population. While the South American Territorial ground is 2 times larger than Oceania (12% in compare to 6%), its population is 11 times greater than that of Oceania. Interestingly, Antarctica comprise 9% of the world area, no one lives there by far.
North American grounds comprise more than half of what the Asian grounds stand on. It is understandable that by having more territorial grounds, Asia is the most populated continent with more than half the world’s population in it.
