Each year, your company gives an Employee of the Year award to a worker who has performed exceptionally well. You believe that someone with whom you work should receive the award this year.
Write a letter to your supervisor. In the letter
- Describe your colleague’s job at the
company
- Describe a time you worked with this
person
- Explain why you believe this person
deserves the award
Dear Ms. Jackson,
I am writing to you in connection with "Employee of the Year" award. I am very delighted to recommand Mr. John Doe for this years award. I had pleasure working with him for the past 2 years.
As you are aware, we had a successful deployment of our "Fusion" program last may. As Fusion being one of the biggest program our team ever worked on and John was the major contributor in the Design and architecture part of the project. He had worked so many weekends and late nights when we needed to finish one our toughest modules. He was also great team player and helped our team members multiple occasions.
Currently, he is leading the "Fusion 2.0" program and am sure he will drive this program till the end successfully. Am sure, no one deserves this appreciation as much as John deserves.
I look forward to meeting you next week to discuss further on this.
Regards,
Lala
