The bar chart which was given compares the proportion of five difference degree which was held by both sexes in Australia in 1999. Overall, it can be seen that undergraduate diploma and bachelor degree were among the top list of females holding-degree, meanwhile, diploma, postgraduate diploma, and master degree were shared the highest proportion of holding-degree by males.
On male participants, the highest post-school qualification which was obtained was skilled vocational diploma, which is 90%. Followed by postgraduate diploma and master’s degree, 70% and 60% each. While bachelor’s degree and undergraduate diploma were among the lowest proportion on men qualifications, 45% and 35% respectively.
Moving to females, undergraduate diploma was the largest share of qualification which was hold (70%). Furthermore, bachelor’s and master’s degrees were accounted for second and third number with 54% and 40% respectively. The remaining degrees (postgraduate and skilled vocational diplomas) were below one-third of the proportion.
