Many museums and historical sites are mainly visited by tourists but not local people.
Why is this case and what can be done to attract more local people to visit these places?
Nowadays, more and more tourists flock into the tourist trap such as museums and historical sites, which help inhabitants here can gain a huge of profit but the authority figure here are still anxious because of the apathetic given by these citizens toward to those historical sites. There are many reasons put forward to explain this issue as well as many solutions coined to weaken its severity.
It is not too hard to find out reasons having the capacity of setting out this phenomenon. The main factor is lacking of curiosity about the history of where they were born and spend a main fraction of their life time here, as a result, they are a connoisseur of such information. Another factor is the ticket for entrancing, with the tourism perceptive, the government raised taxes on all of these services sprang up around spectacular landscapes as well as museum and historical sites so those who have a thirst for discovering have to pay an exorbitant price. Consequently, indigenous people felt unnecessary to take their effort into having a deep insight of the cultural and the land which they often put their feet every single day.
Coming up against this problem, many solutions brought up to address it. First of all, the authority figure changed gradually the monotonous aim at such tourist trap. They could hold meetings of women association or extra and fostered class for children in this neighborhood, which are able to capture more attraction of native. Secondly, those being the head of monitoring every gesture of such place could give some special offer to the locals including free entrance.
To sum up, there are lots of reasons proposed to explain why the locals are often indifferent to museums and historical places around them and the government also suggest a lot of clarifications.
