The Bar chart illustrate the number of male and female enrolled in further education in Britain. It shows whether they were studying in full-time or part-time education over the three-period.
Overall, male engaged in full-time education had steadily increased more than female. While female engaged in part-time education was significantly risen and male had a fluctuating trend.
With regards to male studying in full-time education it increased doubled from around 100,000 in 1970 to approximately over 200,000 in 1990-91. Whereas, the female got enrolled in full-time education had a slowly increased from nearly below 200,000 in 1970 to exact 200,000 by the end of the year.
The number of male studying in part-time education had fluctuated from exact 1 million in 1970-71 and had a gradual declined which was around 850,000 in 1980-81. While it has slightly increased for about 900,000 by the end of the year, respectively. Meanwhile, there was a significant increased in female studying part-time education from below 800,000 in 1970 to above 1 million in the years 1990 and 1991.
