Recently, there has been a tone of debate as the differences between endotherms and dinosaurs. More specifically, in regards to this passage, the writer of the reading passage puts forth the fact that the dinosaurs and endotherms were same. In the listening passage, the lecturer is quick to point out that there are some serious flaws with the author's claim. In fact, the lecturer believes that dinosaurs and endotherms were not the same and addresses, in detail, the troubles with each point made by the author of the reading text.
First and foremost, the passage states that base on the fossils discover in Polar Regions, these two species are the some professional in the same field, however, stand in firm opposition to this assertion. In the listening, for example, the lecturer states that this phenomenon could have happened because of the fact that dinosaurs migrated to so other places because the need much warmer place to live and also that could happened because of the fact that the hibernated there. She goes on by saying that this reason is not good enough to based in it.
One group of expert in the same field, represented by the author of the reading passage, thinks that dinosaur and endotherms were the same because of their legs position and movement. Of course not all experts in that field think this claim is accurate. Again, the speaker specifically addresses this point when she states that the reason that the position and movement of dinosaur’s legs is based on their weight and the fact that they were so huge. The position of their legs was based on the fact that they legs had to tolerate their massive body weights.
Finally, the author wraps his argument by positing that there were some connection between dinosaur and endotherms bone structure. Not surprisingly, the lecturer takes issue with this point by contending that dinosaurs growth were decreased in the cold period of time and as a matter of fact they growth changed from rapid to slow and at the end they growth were rapidly and that specific structure help them to maintain their body temperature in the cold days.
