Computer technology has benefited people in many ways. It is irrefutable that computers are used in excess in education system these days. This essay will discuss the positive and negative of using computers in education followed by personal opinion.
This technology is helping students in their school jobs like learning and understanding subjects in different ways. For instance use of online tutorials with the support of internet is quite popular among students these days, and eBooks in the online library is making the literature to available around the world and mostly free of cost. In addition to that, representation of data, graphs and different figures is easy to prepare and present with the support of computer technology. Hence, with all these benefits students are approaching towards computer tools to perform different tasks.
On the other side, firstly, excess use of computers is effecting individual’s health such as eye problems with watching bright screen for longer duration. Often computer engineers, complaint about the redness in eye and demands glasses to study on computers and which results in to the loss of vision also but, only in rare cases. Secondly, less use of skills makes an individual incapable in future. For instance, addiction of doing calculations on computers makes people mind poor in math subject. In other words, support of computers in calculation is keeping individual’s capability away from use and making them dull day by day. Therefore, I believe that we should use computers to limited extent only and it is better to avoid if possible.
In conclusion, although, computer is acting as a helping hand to make jobs easier for students, its side effects like health issues cannot be neglected thus, students should try to avoid using computers.
