The reading mentions that Claudius's innovations in positive way. First and foremost, the reading claims that he had the massive success about ruling the world for example he ruled three continents between 41 and 54 CE. What's more, he did some terrific innovations for citizenship and slaves. For instance, he built a new harbor and several new aqueducts for bringing the clean water to civil life. Also, the reading states the law which protects slaves and citizenship rights. Furthermore, he was not elected to power by the senates for that reason the hostility of ancient authors toward the reign of him.
In contrast, the lecturer emphasizes the negative sides of his reign. First of all, according to listening, Britain have destroyed and it didn't make him fair conquer. Secondly, the lecturer claims that he didn't have wisdom at all, corruption, unfair things happened when he was in rule. He opened a way to sell slaves more expensive and it made some class in the life. Especially, slaves corruption shows that he was not a good conquer to the world.
