The visualization given elucidates the percentage of radio and television audience on a daily basis in 1992.
It is clear that UK citizens spent more time watching TV in comparison with radio. The rate of inhabitants listening to radio, however, was higher than that of television in the morning.
It can be seen that at the beginning of the day, English tended to listen to the radio rather than watch TV, 7% and practically 0% respectively. Nevertheless, the number of dwellers hearing the radio was not over that of those who watching TV any longer from over 1.00 in the afternoon. From that point on to 5.00 p.m, the audience of television overtook that of radio, with a slight gap of about 2% between the two proportions.
From 5.00 p.m to 8.00 p.m, the rate of television audience kept rising sharply to reach the peak of nearly 50% but then fell dramatically in the following hours. However, the proportion bounced back slightly right after the midnight to end the day at only 3%. In contrast, the percentage of radio audience decreased steadily to the same figure for the counterpart.
