Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they cast doubt on specific points made in the reading passage.
The lecture states that people and different kind of mammals as cats may not commit altruistic acts, but they also get non material appericiation as a reward for that, which contradicts with the meaning of altruism which supported by the passage as a complete selfless performing.
For example, the lecture mentioned that people who show such a selfless behavior like donating organs for family members of strangers, they don't benfit directly from it, but on the other hand, they recieve approval from the others, and they feel selfworthy. This opinion oppose the part of the passage that indicates donating organs as example of selfishness and altruism.
Another example provided in the lectures, was a specy of cats, that guard their groups while they eat, which seems to be an altrustic act, but actually, they eat first before standing to guard, also when they do their job and cry out loud when there are predators comming, they may make the predators pay attention more to the group and put them in danger. This is another example that conflicts with what is stated in the passage, which was the example of the meerkat, the mammal who devotes himself to gurad the rest of the group, even if they won't eat, or even more, they won't survive the attack of the predators.
