Given are two figures indicating the average monthly temperatures in three metropolises –namely New York, London and Sydney- as well as giving a comparison of their yearly hours of sunshine. From the information supplied, it is apparent that Sydney follows a completely different pattern in terms of monthly temperatures. Furthermore, London receives by far the least amount of sun ray in a year.
Looking at the line graph in more details, it can be seen that New York and London reach have their lowest temperature in January with approximately 5 and 10 degree respectively. Experiencing a consistent rise, both cities reach a peak in July before dropping again to low temperatures in December which are just slightly over those of January. Nonetheless, witnessing the highest and lowest temperature, New York alterations are more considerable than London.
In stark contrast, Sydney experiences its hottest days in January and December with 25 degree. It also reaches its lowest degree at somewhere in the vicinity of 15 in July. It is interesting to note that Sydney has the overall highest monthly temperature in comparison to other areas.
According to the table, in terms of total annual hours of sun ray, London receive the lowest amount with just 1180 hours annually. Sydney and New York come to the second and third place with 2473 and 2535 respectively.
Overall, the pattern of monthly temperatures in Sydney is contrary to New York and London. New York witnesses the highest and lowest temperature, whilst London is the cloudiest city.
