The bar graphs below illustrates the two major reasons for students of different age groups to purue education and the level of support they obtained from their employers for the same.
Overall, students opting to study for career decreases proportionally, over the decades of age, while, that for interest increases. Support received from employers in the form of time-off and fees is maximum for under 26 whereas, middle age group receives it, the least.
80% of the students study, for their career and this reduces steadily by 10-20% over each decade of age.This decrease is compensated by the proportion of students opting for studies, for interest increased significantly from to 10% for under 26 to as high as 70% in the elderly. Students in the four decade of aged balanced the reason and 40% received education for both career and interest.
Employer showed maximum level of support of above 60% for youth under 26 and this level decreased to 30% in the middle age (30-39) to just over 30% and later again increased in aged to around two-fifths.
