Essay topics:

Some people feel that paparazzi should not follow celebrities and invade their privacy by taking pictures of them everywhere, while others believe this is just the price of fame.

Discuss both sides and give your opinion. Give reasons for your answer, and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Since the last one decade, media has become increasingly powerful that famous people like actors, politicians and activists do not have private life any more. But some people think that journalists should respect private lives of such people, others believe that fame has certain cost which is inevitable. I think media does its job and celebrities and other famous people enjoy this attention as they consider it a part of their lifestyle.

At one side, some people believe that celebrities are also human like other, they also have families and matters related to them. They should not be followed and captured other than their job places like set or locations where they work. If media does not comprehend the value of privacy, celebrities often end up in hot water because they sometimes do awkward and unhealthy things in their personal lives, such as smoking, drinking alcohol which is usually captured by paparazzi. Instead of chasing them everywhere, media should elaborate their work and assignments to public. Due to constant pressure of paparazzi, famous people often have to portray themselves happy, smiling and ready steady. This can influence general public largely as they become prey to depressive thoughts when they see luxurious way of living of celebrities everywhere on the internet.

On another side, being a celebrity does involve certain difficulties, such as lack of privacy. People think that celebrities are public figure and their matters should not be kept hidden from them. A celebrity gets fame because general public admire him/her. Also, many people get influenced by the actions and deeds of their favorite celebrities, such as hitting gym regularly which celebrities do and media reports about, therefore celebrities should not take paparazzi as offensive rather as a part of their job.

In my opinion, media performs its duties when it captures famous people. This is what media is for, and I also observe that celebrities consider it a source of staying in the eyes of public. They do not mind it at all rather they express joy when they are captured by media. This accelerates their demand in the market. Thus I believe that both media and celebrities earn their livelihood through paparazzi and there is no harm in doing so.
