Deserts are occupied all around the globe and have harsh environment; however, some kind of animals and plants are resilient to this situation, also they can thrive. Here, we want to describe three well-known deserts in different areas of the world. They are Sahara Desert in Africa, Taklimakan Desert in Asia, and Great Basin Desert in North America.
Among them, Sahara Desert is the largest one, with 9,000,000 sq km Area, then Taklimakan desert, and finally Great Basin Desert.
If we consider their average annual reinfall, Great Basin Desert has the most one, with up to 51 cm annual reinfall. Taklimakan Desert has the lowest average between them, with 1 cm average rainfall. which probably has the thoughest condition for plants to thrive there.
If we discuss about their average temperature and temperature extremes, both Sahara Desert and Great Basin Desert have the highest average temperatures, with 30c in summer. The lowest temperatures is in Taklimakan Desert with -9C in winter, which is really frigid and probably few creatures can survive there in winters. Extremest temperature which have been recorded is in Sahara Desert, with 58C, but Great Basin desert has a close extreme, meaning 57c.
