You stayed at your friend’s house when you attended a conference in Australia. Unfortunately, you left a large envelope with some important documents in your room. Write a letter to your friend. In the letter:
• thank your friend for the stay
• describe where you left the envelope
• ask him/her to return it to you by post
Begin your letter as follows: Dear _________
Dear John,
It was a pleasant experience to stay at your beautiful home and enjoy your hospitality during the stay. I’ve forgotten my documents in the room at your house and I want you to ship it to me on urgent basis.
First of all, I must admit that I made the best decision by accepting your invitation to stay at your home instead of hotel. You have left no stone unturned in serving me and making me feel comfortable. Beside the stay, you helped me a lot with my movements locally, and I am so delighted as well as grateful for treating me with this much attention.
Unfortunately, I have left a large envelope in the room where I stayed. When I left the room, probably I forgot it in the chest drawer. If you don’t find it there, then check the cupboard please. I might have placed it there.
As soon as you get it, ship it back to me since it contains very important documents related to my current project. You may get angry, but I will pay for the cost of shipment of the envelope. Just send me details of your bank account and the incurred cost please.
Regards,
Jimmy.
