Based on the reading passage the author listed three reasons that electronic medical record system is better than the traditional type. On the other hand, the lecturer refutes all the reason which mentioned in the reading passage with some counter-evidence.
Firstly, the author stated that electronic medical record system can help reduce costs by saving money and it does not need a lot space to storage. In addition, electronic medical record system provides easier accessibility to data. However, the lecturer implies that the cost difference between traditional and modern type is not significant, because, most of the doctors who become adapt with electronic record, keep their descriptions as a backup and they write on the paper, yet. As a result, they use both of them, so the cost of recording does not decline.
Secondly, the author related that electronic medical records reduce the risk of making a mistake and also decline its subsequences for patient's health, because electronic medical records associated with standardization of form as well as legible computer fonts minimize the possibility of human error. Conversely, the lecturer asserts although, must of the doctors are adapted with electronic medical records, but they take note and write decryption on the paper and latter some staff transfer data on the computer, so errors possibility is remain, now.
Finally, the author declared that by this method researcher can gather and study data more comfortable rather than past that they obliged to find data among a numerous data. On contrary, the lecturer demonstrates that there are some lows that limit the researchers about accessibility to data. These lows identity the patients' information as a private data and hardly would researcher can have access to them.
