Given are two pie charts providing information on the rates of world expenditure and population.
A brief analysis of both graphs reveals that while Asia holds responsible for almost more than half of the global population, people around the world spent the most amount of their money on food and transport category.
Regarding the world population, the largest share of people, 57%, is living in Asia. Europe and Americas, however, are listed in second place and shared a similar proportion, together comprising of roughly one-third of the population (precisely 28%). While residents in Africa form only one out of every ten people of the world, a mere of 5% of the population contributes to other regions of the world.
To continue with the second graph, although the category named other comprised 40% of the world’s spending, the remaining 60% of the figure consists of four items. The most significant amount, 24 out of 60 percent, is paid for food (around one-quarter of global expenditure). Besides, 18% and 12% of it goes to transport and housing respectively. The least amount among the spending allocates to clothing, at a negligible amount of 6%.
