This graph illustrates the number of people put behind the bars during 50-year period in the twentieth century. Overall, the highest rate of people being jailed was demonstrated by US with exception of the earliest period and the mid of the century.
Drawing our attention to the 1930-s it is clearly seen that UK displayed the lowest ratio in comparison to the other participants of the survey and count 20 thousand people which was 100 lower than the Canada. Nevertheless, New Zealand and the USA stood at the level of 100 individuals. Looking at the 40-s of the previous century, the rate of prisoners rose in the US and Canada at 120 and approximately 100 humans respectively which showed the greatest rate at that time.
