The table below shows the numbers of visitors to Ashdown Museum during the year before and the year after it was refurbished. The charts show the result of surveys asking visitors how satisfied they were with their visit, during the year.
The table depicts the total figures of people who visited Ashdown Museum before and after renovation, the pie charts, however, illustrate the visitor satisfaction to Ashdown Museum throughout the two periods.
Overall, the year after refurbishment saw an influx of visitors as visitors were satisfied with their visit. Prior to the renovation, the majority of visitors were dissatisfied with their stay.
The number of visitors before the refurbishment totaled to 74,000 people. Dissatisfaction was the major vote amongst the visitors who made up about two-fifths during their visit. Just under a third of those were satisfied, whereas only 15% of the visitor claimed that they were very satisfied with their time. One in ten people indicated that they were very dissatisfied before the renovation. Five percent of the people did not respond to the survey.
An additional 18,000 people visited the museum after the renovations were completed. 40% of the visitors were happy with their visit. The number of very satisfied people had increased to just over a third. Likewise, dissatisfied visitors had shrunk by one quarter. A small number of people chose to not respond to the survey as well as for much dissatisfaction with the renovated museum.
