Hello David,
I am writing to you with regards your last email about holiday destination.
My last summer holiday I visited Taiwan. I spend there 2 weeks and that was good enough to enjoy the island and local culture.
Firstly, I must to tell you that Taiwan is extremely hot island and you might be surprised but the weather is always very beautiful. Capitol of island is a place must to see there are many old buildings and Chinese temples which are stunning. The best place to stay in Taipei is a hotel or you can try to find a nice apartment via Airbnb. I would suggest you find apartment through Airbnb you can save a lot of money this way. There are many amazing restaurants with old traditional Taiwanese cuisine. The best food you can find on the night street food market, the best what I had there was sea food plater with BBQ sauce.
Secondly, I think it is very important to visit royal national park of Taiwan it is 2 hours drive from capitol city. It is very common to see there elephants and many endemic birds.
I hope my suggestion will help you with your travel.
All the best.
