The given table shows the details of participation by Scottish adults in various cultural activities over the year, according to different ages.
Overall, it is readily apparent that, age of an individual played important role for participating in any kind of cultural activities.
To begin with, 16 to 24 years aged people participated in any activity with 35%, whereas, this figure decreased for other age groups such as, 25 to 44 and 45 to 74 (22% and 17% respectively). Further, 22% people with age of 45 to 74 were interested to take part in crafting, similarly, same group had greater percentage of participation in category of cultural purchases, (18%) as compared to other age groups.
In addition, 30% Scottish adults preferred visual arts to take part in, that was two times higher than average percentage of people with age group of 16 and over. While, 17% individuals were participated in writing activity, merely 5 to 6% people participated in this from other age groups. Moreover, computer-based activities were less preferred among people of all ages, during whole year.
