The given line graph delineates the sales of three different types of books, namely children's, mature fiction and academic, over the 5-years period starting with 2002. As an overall trend, whereas the sale of kid's books showed an upward trend, adult fiction illustrated a downward trend in sales and in addition that, the sale of educational books fluctuated from 2002 to 2006.
We can see from the chart that in 2002, adult fiction had the highest number of sales with approximately $45 million dollars among the given sort of books, followed by children's book at almost $33 million and $25 million sales of the educational books. In contrast, educational books sales went up to almost 33 million dollars and then this figure slipped back nearly $25 million till 2005. Moreover, the sales of that books rose to approximately $32 million which were the second highest of sales.
Looking at the line graph in more detail, even if sales of children's books started at $33 million, this figure experienced a gradual sharp to nearly 42 million dollars. Between 2003 and 2005, sales grew slightly to nearly $47 million and then picked up to almost $58 million in 2006.
