The bar chart provided illustrates the percentage of Australian people divided by age which did regular exercise during 2010.
Overall it can be seen that females had higher percentages than males in all the different age categories, except for the age group 15 to 24.
Women from 25 to 64 years old did more physical activity than men, staying always above 48.9%.
Especially the chart shows that females in the age group 45 to 54 had the highest percentage amongst all the categories (with a percentage of 53.3%), while males in the age group 35 to 44 had the lowest one with a percentage of 39.5%.
However, in the youngest and oldest age groups (15 to 24 and 65 and over) the datas are different.
The 15 to 24 category is the only age group where men's percentage is higher than women's one with a difference of 5.1% (52.8% for men and 47.7% for women).
In the 65 and over category it can be seen that the percentages of males and females are almost the same with only a difference of 0.4% (46.7% and 47.1% respectively).
