You have an extra room in your apartment and would like to rent it out to a student.

Write a letter to the university council officer. In your letter:

- describe your apartment and the facilities available

- mention why you want to rent out the room

- say what kind of tenant you would prefer

You should write at least 150 words.

Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter to express my interest of renting an extra room in my apartment to a student.

I have a two-bedroom apartment on the 7th floor of Alecia Building in Greater Kailash. The apartment is fully furnished, centrally heated and the kitchen has all the basic amenities for cooking. I would like to rent one bedroom with attached bathroom to a student which as one single bed, air conditioner and a study table. The bathroom has the connection of both hot and cold water.

I would like to rent the room to someone because I live alone in the apartment with no one to talk to. So, having an company will help me to pass out my time and moreover, it will not be lonely.

I would prefer to have a girl student as a tenant with certain traits such as adjusting, responsible, mature and hygienic and good in academic records. Furthermore, I would expect her to follow certain rule such as outsiders are not allowed to enter the house after 8 pm. She should not smoke or drink or play loud music as it will disturb the neighbours. The rent charged will be 800$ per month including the electricity and heating charges.

I hope that you will provide me with the assistance for getting a suitable tenant with the required qualities.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,

Prabhpreet Kaur
