Your new neighbours have recently invited you to a party they are holding next Saturday. However, you have other plans on Saturday evening and cannot attend the party.
Write a letter to your neighbours. In your letter:
• thank them for the invitation
• mention what plans you already have
• suggest when you can meet them
Write at least 150 words.
Dear Mr and Mrs Pattinson,
Hello, how are you? I hope you both are having a joyous time. I am writing this letter to ask for forgiveness as I will not be able to be present at the party.
I thank you both for inviting me to the house warming party that you are organising next Saturday. I am very excited to attend the social gathering and I am sure that everyone present there will have lots of fun and enjoyment together.
However, I will not be able to attend the party as I have a prescheduled plan. Next Saturday I have to attend the 50th Wedding Anniversary of my Uncle and Aunt. The party is to take place in Hotel Radisson and I have been given the responsibility to make arrangements for food, drinks, decorations and cake for the party. As a result, I have a lot of work to complete
Once again, I am really sorry for not being a part of your party, although, I was very excited to meet you and spend a lovely evening at your place. I hope we can meet this weekend for dinner at The Taj Hotel and spend some quality time together. Please do let me know when can you do that.
I wish you all the best for your party. May you spend a wonderful time with your guests
Take care and see you soon.
With love,
Prabhpreet Kaur
