The given bar chart, percentagewise illustrates the relation between unemployed graduate males and females between the ages of 20-24 years, over a span of 2 years, in a European country.
From the chart, it is clear that the percentage of unemployed women is the low as compared to their counterparts, for both years. However, the highest unemployment rate of female as well as male graduates can be seen in the month of October, 2009, where it is about 15% and 22% respectively.
The lowest amount unemployed adults can be observed in the months of April and July in the year 2008, where they were at an equal 7% for men and 6% for women, the same percentage was also noticed for women in April 2009. A large difference between the two genders, of nearly 8% can be seen during October’09.
During October 2008 and 2009, it can be seen that unemployment rates are at its highest, whereas a steady decline is observed during first half of both the years.
In conclusion, in the span of 2 years, the percentage of women with jobs is higher with respect to men of same age.
