You just moved to a new place and haven’t got a chance to tell your friend.
Write a letter to your friend:
• why you move there
• Compare your new place to the previous place
• Where do you live now
Dear Sam,
I hope you have been doing well. It has been a while since we last met when I came at your place to have dinner. The reason why I am writing this letter is to tell you that I have shifted to Jaipur last week. I know the decision to move was sudden and for that I want to apologize as I never got the chance to tell you about it earlier.
As you know, I applied for the post of senior consultant in ABC Ltd. 10 days back I received an email from the Human Resource manager of the company, which mentioned that I have been selected for that job. Followed by an email, I received a call from the manager who asked me to join immediately as they had an important client to address, for which they didn’t had any resource. This was a tremendous opportunity to boost my career and for this reason I had to join on an urgent basis.
I will be free at the weekend and you should come to visit it. The city is absolutely amazing and you will love the transportation over here. They came up with metro train service, which we both know will take at least a decade to get introduced in our hometown. Also, the infrastructure is quite fascinating with better amenities available when compared to our old place. Moreover, the night life is something which is not be missed and you will thank me later for that. Additionally, the kind of experience one can have by visiting local places and learning about their culture is something I am looking forward to have with you.
As a stated earlier in this letter, I have transferred to Jaipur. I live in the outskirts of the city in the area named Jagatpura as the rent is cheap in this part of the town. But when it comes to peace, nothing can beat this place. Working throughout the day gives way too much stress but after coming to home, the place gives me far more pleasure by providing silence and a way to live a balanced life. I will email you the address before you leave for my place.
I know I didn’t told you this in person and for that I would like to make up to you. I will look forward to hearing from you and say hello to your parents on my behalf.
Best wishes,
Hemant
