The reading indicates that situations on Venus are inhospitable and humans can't be there. The author listed three factors supporting this idea. However, the speaker finds all the reasons dubious and presents some evidence to refute all of them. First, the author proposes the pressure on Venus is 90 times more than the earth, in other words, this pressure destroys everything on Venus's s surface. Conversely, the speaker rebuts this idea and declares that they cab establish station floating on the surface like a balloon. Also, he states by increasing the height of the atmosphere the pressure decreases. Second, the reading passage points out that there are no reservoirs of water on the surface, then it is not possible to import sufficient oxygen and water to it. In contrast, the speaker casts doubt on this idea by standing that oxygen and water can be formed by combining carbon dioxide and sulfuric acid. Therefore, he rejects this claim too. Last but not least the author argues due to the thick cloud, the little sunlight reaches to the planet, besides more than half of it will be reflected. Consequently, they encounter a lack of energy. On the contrary, the speaker dismisses these issues by illustrating that clouds are not thick above the planet and they can use from reflected and absorbed sunlight to produce energy and generate power.
