Two years ago, radio station WCQP in Rockville decided to increase the number of call-in advice programs that it broadcast; since that time, its share of the radio audience in the Rockville listening area has increased significantly. Given WCQP's recent success with call-in advice programming, and citing a nationwide survey indicating that many radio listeners are quite interested in such programs, the station manager of KICK in Medway recommends that KICK include more call-in advice programs in an attempt to gain a larger audience share in its listening area.
Write a response in which you discuss what questions would need to be answered in order to decide whether the recommendation and the argument on which it is based are reasonable. Be sure to explain how the answers to these questions would help to evaluate the recommendation.
While the KICK manager recommendation of imitating WCQP strategy and include more call-in shows seems plausible at first, once the arguments presented by him are analyzed deeper we encounter flaws and lack of evidence to strengthen said recommendation.
First, the author of the recommendation presents the enlargement of share of the radio audience since the call-in advice programs augmented, but he does not give any quantification about this increase, making it ambiguous to determine if it is significant enough. A well-documented report about the actual increase of the share would fortify his point. On the same issue, the author fails to contemplate other possible reasons for this increase in share of radio audience, which could obey to some other factors, such as some of the stations competing with the WCQP shut down, or that the station aggregated other successful shows.
Second, the author also cites the results of a nationwide survey which indicates that many radio listeners are quite interested in such programs. Nonetheless, the conclusion based on these results is completely unsupported, and the author pauperizes its claim by not substantiating exactly how many listeners are interested. Moreover, the term “quite interested” is relative and does not sustain the point made, since “quite interested” could not assure that the people claiming this will be part of the audience. Also, one has to remember that this survey was nationwide and perhaps Medway listeners did not participate in it, making it not applicable to the city.
Finally, the author does not presents a throughout comparison between Rockville and Medway, impairing his conclusion that the same strategy would work in both cities. The author would need to present a complete report between both cities characteristics, such as population, tastes in radio shows, percentage of population that listens to the radio, and a survey that provides how many of those listeners would listen to a call-in advice program, in order to justify this comparison. And even when both cities are similar in all the factors mentioned above, it does not guarantee that this strategy would be successful.
In conclusion, the author needs to justify his arguments by presenting strong and well-organized evidence that helps him to prove that not only the call-in programs are the reason of the success of Rockville’s station, but also that both cities are similar enough to establish that the same strategy will succeed in Medway.

Why is it not ok to question
Why is it not ok to question the validity of the arguments? I've seen essays rated with 5 or 6 and they state that the arguments could be wrong because of "x" or "y". What is the exact difference between those and this one?
Thanks for the review.
You need to read the
You need to read the requirements:
Write a response in which you discuss what questions would need to be answered in order to decide whether the recommendation and the argument on which it is based are reasonable. Be sure to explain how the answers to these questions would help to evaluate the recommendation.
If you question the validity of the arguments, the essay writing will be becoming easy and you can apply them as a pattern to all essays.
We are doing our bests to make the rates reasonable, however, the evaluations in testbig are not perfect. The computer rating system can test essays grammatically, but only human graders can test whether the essays are logical. There are different human graders taking care of the essay evaluations seasonally. They may have different ideas for the arguments. So you can always put your own comments if you doubt the marks.
I just wanted to know what is
I just wanted to know what is the difference so I can correct my errors,I'm not criticizing the rating. And I asked this because I didn't see any actual difference between those essays and mine. Also I made the mistake of believing what a book said about not necessarily answer as the instructions said, and just make a good essay. I appreciate the feedback.
We think you misunderstood
We think you misunderstood what is 'question the validity of the arguments'.
wrong: give me evidence or data to prove that the arguments are correct. well, this is not possible and it is out of topic.
correct: the arguments are valid or correct because of some conditions. for example:
1. it works in location A, doesn't mean it works in location B
2. it worked two years ago, doesn't mean it works now
3. it works across the nation, doesn't mean it works locally
4. it works for the first three buildings, doesn't mean it will work for left 20 buildings
5. it works for some people, it may not work for other people
6. it happens because of some reasons, it may not happen because of other reasons.
etc...
argument 1 -- not OK. Seems you didn't get the idea on how to argue. For all statement, you should consider they are true, and should not ask extra data or evidence, but try to figure out the loopholes from the text. for example, the correct way to argue is:
'the success among listeners with increasing the number of call-in programs of WCQP radio station was 2 years ago. The author does not provide information about the listeners requirements of then and now regarding call-in programs. It can be possible that 2 years ago there weren't much programs of this type, and this new idea caught up very quickly. Or it might be as well true that in the area of broadcasting of WCQP there was no other radio station with this type of program and that's why it was so successful.'
argument 2 -- not OK. here you need to accept that a nationwide survey is true, but the nationwide survey may not apply to KICK.
argument 3 -- OK
