The given line graph depicts the demand of various kinds of fast food in Britain. The fast food categories are divided into three groups including hamburger, fish and chips and pizza. Overall, it is obvious that pizza consumption was the most popular category in 1970, while fish and chips were a major demand in 1990.
According to the graphs, hamburger and fish and chips consumption had a similar trend. In the beginning of given period, hamburger and fish and chips were sold approximately 30 grams and 90 grams, respectively. After that, there was a negligible increase of hamburger’s demand during 1970 and 1985, while this rise happened with fish and chips consumption between 1970 and 1980. In the following years, for hamburger, its consumption rose substantially and reached just under 300 grams. In addition, there was a considerably growth of fish and chips demand with 500 grams in 1990.
On the other hand, the consumption of pizza had a downward trend. Pizza was sold 300 grams in 1970. After that, the consumption decreased moderately during 1970 and 1985 and then it rose slightly with the figure was just above 200 grams in 1990.
To conclude, it can be seen that hamburger and fish and chips were more and more popular, however, pizza was less consumed in Britain.
