Populations
The line chart provides information about the reported and predicted increase in populations in China and India within 50 years. Generally, the number of people in two countries shows exponential growth with bell-shaped variables.
Specifically, the population discrepancy in both countries gradually increased for the first 25 years following by a steady decay. In China, for instance, the peak of the total population is anticipated to be in 2025 with approximately 1450 million people and then move down to 1400 million people in 2050. Meanwhile, for India, the tendency stayed more constant and balanced with a rise of about 600 million people in 50 years.
It is obvious from the two bell-shaped curve that the resident growth in the 2 countries is supposed to be symmetric in both sides of 2025. While the statistics for China is likely to climb to the peak in 2025 and then go downward, India’s total population will go up from 2000 to 2025, twice that from 2025 to 2050.
