In terms of the hamburger, the biggest expenditure was contributed by the high income group, at roughly 42 pence per week, while the low income ate this kind of fast food at least, at only 14 pence per week. Additionally, the average group spent approximately 32 pence per week on the hamburger.
In 1990, the group which had the highest expenditure on the fish and chips was the average group, at precisely 25 pence, however, both the high and low income groups only set aside around 17 pence per week for this category of fast food.
