The diagrams below show the stages and equipment used in the cement-making process, and how cement is used to produce concrete for building purposes.
The diagram illustrates how the equipment is used to produce cement to make concrete for building purposes.
At first glance, there are two main types of production for two distinct products which are cement and concrete. While creating cement includes various stages in total, concrete production has one stage only.
To begin with making cement, limestone and clay first go through crushers to become power. Secondly, the crushed limestone and clay are mixed together and poured into a pipe from a mixer to a rotating heater. At that part, the combination between powder of limestone and clay is heated at a high temperature. Then, it is put in a grinder and finally becomes cement. To deliver it to construction sites easily, that amount of cement is packaged in bags.
Turning to the concrete process, it has a mixture of four ingredients, which are cement, water, sand, and gravel, at 15%, 10%, 25%, and 50% respectively. After putting it into the concrete mixer, this machine is controlled to continually rotate to make the final product become more effective.
