The line graph provides the information about regional household recycling rate in percentages in the UK, France and Germany between 2005 and 2015
Overall, recycling rate in the UK and Germany increased gradually while France depicts downward trend till 2013 and experienced a reverse in trend after 2013. At the beginning of period, France had highest recycling rate as compared to the UK and Germany.
Recycling rate of UK started to increase from nearly 35% in 2005 to almost 40% in 2007 and it remained constant till 2009. After that, rate increased steeply till 2011 to almost 55% and gradually rose to 60% and slightly close to 60% in 2013 and 2015 respectively. Similarly, Germany had 20% recycling rate in 2005 and rose up to around 25% in 2007, further enhance to more than 30% in 2009. From 2009 to 2011, recycling rate gone up to around 45%, further rose up to 50% in 2013 and move up to nearly 55% by 2015.
In contrast, France had recycling rate of 50% in 2005 which declined nearly 45% in 2007, continued to downward trend around 35% by 2009 and almost cut in half by 2011. By 2013, nearly one third of household items recycled as compared to half of items in 2005. However, after 2013 recycling rate started to improve it goes up from 30% to almost 40% in 2013 and 2015 respectively.
