Regarding the sales of bananas, Switzerland ranked first in both 1999 and 2004 at 15 and 47 million euros. The sales in the UK and Belgium also increased from 1 and 0.6 million euros to 5.5 and 4 million euros, respectively. By contrast, the sales of bananas in Sweden and Denmark slightly decreased from 1.8 and 2 million euros to 1 and 0.9 million euros, respectively.
