The monthly price of exported rice from Thailand and Vietnam from 2012 to 2015 (Million dollars per tons)
The graph below shows the cost of rice exported from Thailand and Vietnam monthly from 2012 to 2015.
Overall, the price of exported rice from Thailand and Vietnam from 2012 to 2015 were not balanced with the average expense of rice from Vietnam lower than Thailand.
In 2012, Vietnam had the highest price for 12 months compare to 3 other years. From Thailand, the 2012 price were the highest from July to the end of 2012. Both payment of exported rice from both Vietnam and Thailand in 2012 were higher than the average. The high price were continuing to 2013. However, the fee seemed decrease steadily. Specially from Thailand, the price rapidly drop from highest to lowest overall compare to Vietnam was decrease slowly. The highest price of rice exported from Thailand was 550 million dollars per tons in 2 months December 2012 and January 2013 compare to that number from Vietnam was 410 million dollars per tons in August and September 2012 which was a large gap between the highest price. The lowest price was 400 million dollars per tons in December 2013 from Thailand and 300 million dollars per tons in Vietnam from January to March 2015.
