Your local council is considering closing a sports and leisure centre that it runs in order to save money.
Write a letter to the local council. In your letter,
give details of how you and your friends or family use the centre
explain why the sports and leisure centre is important for the local community
describe the possible effects on local people if the centre closes
I am writing this letter to the local council regarding the reconsideration of the decision for termination of the community sports club and leisure center for monetary reasons. Many other society members are also dissatisfied with this decision.
I am a resident of sector seven urban estates, Gurgaon. In society, there is a fitness club; many of us are frequent members of this health center. My family, friends, and I also spend most of the leisure time here in practicing various activities. As you know, sports are essential for good health. Playing games and many other activities makes us physically and mentally healthy and fit. Several games are such as cricket, badminton, basketball, and swimming. All these facilities are available there. Older and younger peoples also perceive yoga classes at the end of the week. The Fitness Council is a great place to utilize free time, and the best thing is that after the office hour’s people can relieve their stress here to engage themselves by playing games and feel cordial. So this is beneficial for the community.
If this sports society is close, this is a significant loss for all the society members because mostly society children are playing games there in the absence of this they mostly spend their time playing video games and watching tv.
So, it is my humble request to society council; please revise your opinion to close this health club.
Yours faithfully
XYZ
