The given pie charts provide information about areas of formal education of Canadian citizens separated into two age categories (25 to 35 years old and 45 to 55 years old).
Overall, it is clearly seen that the number of qualified Canadians in considerably higher among younger people (515600 versus 213400). Also, degrees in social science and arts are most popular for both age groups.
Social science and arts account for one-fifth of diplomas held by people aged between 25 and 35. Similarly, these fields of study make up 21 per cent among degrees of older people. The second most popular category for the young is administration, comprising of just under one fifth, while it represents only 15 per cent for older individuals. The portion of education degrees for 25 to 35 and for 45 to 55 aged cirizens is 15 and 13 per cent, respectively.
Engineering diplomas constitute 9 per cent for younger people, in contrast, they represent 19 per cent for the older group. Figures for science, math and computers, however, show opposite situation, contributing 18 per cent for the young and only 10 per cent for the old. The fraction of humanities, nursing, MBA and other is about 20 per cent, collectively, for both reported groups.
